Bath College – Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities Award Level 2

In this course, you will learn what learning disabilities are and how they have been understood in the past, in medicine, and in society today. You’ll also think about what it might be like to have a family member with a learning disability.

You’ll learn why good communication is important and practise how to do it well. The course also looks at how to keep information private and how having more than one condition or disability can affect someone’s life and wellbeing. There is also a section that focuses on autism.
