Agile and Scrum Methodologies are all about working together to successfully reach the goal. During our online Skills Bootcamp in Agile Scrum, you’ll learn about Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
At the end of the course, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your learning and take the BCS EXIN Foundation certificate in Agile Scrum from the British Computer Society (BCS). EXIN are the accrediting body for organisations in the field of IT.
This course includes one exam sitting per learner.
Our Skills Bootcamp in Agile Scrum equips you with the academic knowledge and practical skills required for your chosen industry. You’ll cover the BCS syllabus and be given a strong theoretical foundation to pass the exam.
You’ll cover a variety of topics on the course including:
- Introduction to Scrum and its core principles
- Scrum roles: Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team
- Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Scrum artifacts: Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment
- Planning and estimation techniques in Scrum
- Tracking and monitoring Scrum progress
- Understanding the importance of iterative development and continuous feedback
- Practical use of Scrum in industry-relevant scenarios
The next course starts Tuesday 4 November for seven weeks, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9:30am – 12:00pm. Your BCS EXIN Foundation Certificate in Agile Scrum exam will take place 16 December, 10am – 2pm.
Eligibility requirements:
You must:
- Be aged 19+
- Be living in or near Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire or North Somerset
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Not have completed a Skills Bootcamp funded by the Department for Education (DfE) in the last 12 months
- Agree to provide mandatory personal data and supplementary information on your career outcomes for up to six months following completion of the Skills Bootcamp
- Have access to a computer and Excel
