Retrofit West provide a range of advisory services, including helping homeowners through the retrofit process, as well as supporting contractors and installers to upskill in retrofit.
Training courses that they signpost towards cover various topics and range from introductory to advanced. There are various options, with some courses offering in-person learning opportunities and others with a focus on virtual delivery to offer flexibility.
They also offer green construction training grants to help traditional construction and trade businesses to upskill and feel confident in entering the retrofit market. These grants are for electricians, roofers, plumbers and general builders – with courses covering areas such as solar PV, heat pumps, insulation and ventilation.
