SGS Supported Internships – Preparing for the World of Work 

SGS College offers Supported Internships for young people who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). These internships combine learning with real work experience to help you prepare for employment. 

Each programme includes: 

  • A structured timetable of study and work 
  • Support from a job coach 
  • Continue to develop Maths & English 
  • A work placement with a local employer 
  • Time to develop employability skills and build confidence 

Supported Internships are a great way to gain hands-on experience in a real job, while still learning in a supportive environment. 

Who Can Apply? 

To join a Supported Internship, you must: 

  • Be aged 16 to 25 
  • Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) 
  • Have already completed a successful work placement
