Weston College – Solutions programme

The Solutions programme is for anyone over age 19 who is passionate about reaching their goals but needs support to get there. Within this course you will develop essential life and employability skills and will be supported within one-to-one sessions or small group sessions. Each learner will have a different journey, depending on goals, targets and needs.

Solutions offers an individualised programme of support to learners looking to achieve their personal goals, which could include:
• 1 to 1 support sessions
• Small group sessions
• Progression onto supported work experience or voluntary placements or stable employment
• Support with applying for jobs and interview preparation
• Support to search to for educational courses within colleges and the community
• Employability skills, job matching and job seeking
• Personalised confidence and positive mindfulness activities.
• Independent living skills
• Personal budgeting and money management
• Skills development in the participant’s preferred vocational area
• Housing advice and support
• Literacy and ICT skills development.

Teaching can take place at Weston College premises and community venues.
