What the course covers

Assess the carbon impact of buildings across their whole life. This online course helps PHPP and SAP users design buildings to meet standards including the RIBA Climate Challenge, LETI and the UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard, and produce results that can support local planning requirements.

You will assess embodied and operational carbon using both of the following tools:

  • AECB PHribbon (requires PHPP)
  • AECB Carbon Calculator (requires SAP or similar software)

How the course is delivered

  • 7.5 hours of live online teaching
  • Around 3 hours of assessment exercises between sessions
  • Interactive sessions with practice and Q&A

Who this course is for

No previous knowledge of PHribbon or the AECB Carbon Calculator is required. If using PHribbon, some familiarity with PHPP (version 10 or above) is recommended.
