What this course offers
Customer Service SWAP is a two-week course for adults aged 19+ who want to take their first step into a customer service role. You do not need any previous qualifications or experience to take part. If you are unemployed or earn less than £25,000 per year, the course is free.
The course combines practical learning, work experience and employer sessions to help you build confidence and prepare for work. You will have the opportunity to gain two recognised qualifications that can help strengthen your CV and support your move into customer service roles.

- How to provide customer service in line with organisational procedures
- How to deal with customer questions, problems and complaints
- Employability skills for customer service roles
What you’ll do
- Take part in practical training
- Attend employer sessions
- Gain hands-on experience
- Secure a guaranteed interview with a local employer
- Complete a short written assessment
- Gain a Level 1 Customer Service qualification
- Gain a Level 2 Food Safety qualification
What happens next
After completing the course, you could move into your first customer service role or progress to higher-level qualifications.
You will attend an interview with an employer, providing a real opportunity to start your first customer service role.
