This course is for people with a good understanding of basic IT but who would like to improve their IT for work, improve their current IT skills or personal development.

Learning outcomes:

  • Explore Word features including page layout, margins, copy & paste and insert pictures.
  • Use Word to create a useful document e.g., poster, menu.
  • Explore Excel features including cells, data, formula and graphs.
  • Use Excel to create a useful spreadsheet, e.g., household budget.
  • Use PowerPoint to create a presentation that includes text and pictures.

To enrol for this course you should:

  • Already know basic IT such as: emailing with an attachment, opening attachments to read, writing a word document and saving it etc.
  • Be able to communicate and understand guidance in English.
  • This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications.
  • Are aged 19 years plus (in August ’25).
  • Cost: Free
  • Eligibility: Resident of Bristol
  • Ages: 19+
