What this course offers

This free course focuses on building your confidence and wellbeing for living in the UK. You’ll have opportunities to practise and improve your understanding of everyday English while developing communication skills for daily life.

The course is open to Bristol residents aged 19+ (in August 2026) who have few or no qualifications and takes place on Fridays.

What you’ll learn

  • Speaking and listening skills for everyday situations
  • Vocabulary and functional English for wellbeing and daily life
  • Ways to build confidence when communicating in English
  • Social interaction and cultural awareness
  • Self-care and positive mental health strategies

What happens next

By the end of the course, you’ll have had opportunities to build confidence in using everyday English, strengthen your understanding of wellbeing and self-care, and develop social interaction and cultural awareness.
