What this course offers

This course is for Bristol residents aged 19 and over with few or no qualifications. It provides a safe and supportive space to build confidence, strengthen self-esteem and develop practical skills that can help you achieve personal goals and improve your daily life.

The course runs every Wednesday from 30 September 2026 to 2 December 2026, excluding 28 October 2026.

What you’ll learn

  • How to identify personal strengths and areas for growth
  • How to reflect on your progress and identify skills you want to continue developing
  • Emotional grounding techniques, such as breathing exercises and mindfulness
  • How to create a personalised self-care routine to support mental wellbeing
  • How to build a daily routine that supports small, consistent achievements
  • How to break down larger goals into manageable steps using a simplified SMART goal framework
  • How to build confidence through arts, crafts and cooking activities
  • How to find online resources, community services and support groups that support wellbeing

What happens next

By the end of the course, you will have identified your strengths, developed practical tools to support your wellbeing, and created goals and routines that you can continue to use after the course. You will also have explored resources and support available in your community.
