What this course offers
The Tyntesfield Connection is a free 5-week programme for young people aged 16 to 25. It is delivered by Off The Record (OTR) in partnership with the National Trust, Somerset Bodgers and Botanical Vandals, and takes place at Tyntesfield House in North Somerset.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with nature, take part in creative projects and explore the historic grounds of Tyntesfield.
Sessions run on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm, starting on 8 October 2026, with a break on 29 October.
The group is limited to a maximum of 12 participants.
What you’ll do
- Explore the grounds of Tyntesfield
- Take part in nature connection activities for wellbeing
- Try traditional woodcraft, graffiti art, sketching and other creative projects
- Learn new skills as part of a group
- Learn more about the history of the site and explore behind the scenes
- Take part at your own pace, with all activities optional and support provided as needed

Spending time outdoors in nature can have a calming effect on mental health and can help us to feel connected to the seasons. Being creative and making things can be satisfying, and learning new skills can feel empowering.
