What this course offers

This is a three‑week, face‑to‑face course for adults who want to build confidence using computers and digital technology. It is designed for beginners and people who struggle with everyday IT tasks.

What you’ll learn

During the course, you will learn:

  • Computer basics for everyday tasks
  • How to use your Universal Credit journal for job search progress
  • How to set up and use email
  • Keyboard skills and organising files
  • An introduction to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint

What happens next

On completion of the course, you will achieve an Entry Level 3 qualification in Personal Progression. This can help you move on to a Level 1 IT course or other employability courses.

  • Eligibility: Refugee / Asylum seeker &/or Right to live and work in UK/ lived in UK 3 years, Resident of North Somerset, Unemployed &/or claiming a benefit (e.g Universal Credit)
