What you will study
You will work towards the following recognised qualifications:
- NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Schools
- NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Understanding Safeguarding in Education and Childcare Settings
- NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness
- Gateway Qualification Entry 3 Award in Prevent Awareness
During the course, you will learn:
- How schools work and the different types of schools in the UK
- How children develop from birth to age 18
- How to communicate with children, young people and adults
- How to support children’s physical and mental wellbeing
- How to keep children safe and follow safeguarding rules
- What to do if you are worried about a child’s safety
- How to recognise and respond to concerns linked to the Prevent Duty
