The Take Off programme is a sector-focused employability programme designed to help young people and adults gain insight into the wide range of careers available at an airport. Delivered in partnership with North Somerset Council and Bristol Airport, the programme combines employability skills, confidence building and supported work experience to help learners understand workplace expectations and explore realistic progression routes.

Participants are introduced to roles across the airport environment, including customer service, operations, retail, hospitality, security and support services. Alongside work experience, learners receive guidance to help them identify next steps into further training, apprenticeships or employment.

The programme is designed to build confidence, improve communication and develop the behaviours employers value, while providing learners with a clearer understanding of the opportunities available within the aviation and airport services sector.

  • Open to ages 18+
  • Includes 2 weeks of on-site work experience at the airport ✈️
  • Focus on employability skills, confidence, and progression into work
  • Achievement of accredited courses
