Sustainability Quick Wins: How to Reduce the Embodied Carbon of Small Structures (Online)

Free place promo code for WECA residents and workers: RSWINS26

Whilst large-scale projects often receive the spotlight in discussions about sustainability, small-scale projects can also contribute significantly to reducing embodied carbon.

Join us for this new 2-hour live online session with trainer Scott Boote, an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer who specialises in the pioneering use of low-carbon structural materials.

Scott will highlight ‘quick wins’ – simple yet effective changes that designers can implement in their structures to decrease embodied carbon, even when this isn’t a key project driver, and there is little or no available time for carbon calculations and options assessments.

In much the same way that swapping an incandescent light bulb for an LED fitting will reduce operational carbon, there are often simple low-effort changes that can be made to help reduce embodied carbon too.
