What this course offers
Construction SWAP is a course for adults aged 19+ who want to start a career in construction. You do not need any previous construction experience or qualifications to take part. If you are unemployed or earning less than £25,000 per year, the course is free.
The course helps you build confidence, gain practical skills for construction work and develop employability skills. You will have the opportunity to gain a qualification and a Green Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. Holding a CSCS card is often a requirement for working on construction sites.

- Gain construction insights from employers
What happens next
After completing the course, you could progress to a higher-level construction qualification, apply for an apprenticeship, move from an entry-level labour role to a skilled trade, or use your employability skills to help you secure your first construction role.
You will also receive support from Bath College’s careers team to help you plan your next steps into employment or further training.
