What the programme offers
If you’re care experienced or a care leaver aged 16 to 21 and live in North Somerset, the Youth Guarantee can help you take your next step towards work, training or education.
You’ll get free, in-person, personalised one-to-one support to help you understand what you want to do next and build the skills, confidence and experience you need to get there.
Our dedicated employer engagement team works with employers to source meaningful work placements and real job opportunities that match your interests and goals.

Personalised support from a specialist Work Coach, tailored around your goals, circumstances and ambitions.
Work placements
Opportunities to gain meaningful experience in a real workplace, build your confidence and develop practical skills.
Employment opportunities
Access to job opportunities sourced by our dedicated Employer Engagement Officer, helping connect you with employers and roles that could be right for you.
Skills development
Support to build your employability skills, including CV writing, job applications, interview preparation and workplace skills.
Financial support
Assistance to remove barriers to getting into work, training or education.
Training and education
Help to explore further education and training opportunities that support your longer-term goals.
How you’ll be supported
The programme is flexible and built around your needs. Your personal work coach will take time to get to know you, what you want to achieve, what your interests are and anything that might be getting in the way.
Together, you’ll agree a realistic path towards your goals, with ongoing one-to-one support as you build your skills, gain experience and even after your start work.
What happens next
After getting in touch, you’ll meet with your very own Work Coach to talk about your interests, ambitions and what you’d like to achieve.
Together, you’ll create a plan and start exploring the right opportunities for you, including work placements, employment, education or training.
