The Youth Guarantee is free step-by-step in-person programme, that gives you real work experience, your own career coach and practical support to get you into a job.
How it works in 3 simple steps
Step 1: Meet your career coach
You’ll be matched with your own coach who takes time to understand your situation, your ambitions and interests and what support you need. Together you’ll build a personal action plan to help you take your next steps.
Step 2: Get work-ready
A practical four-week programme based at The Gate House Centre in Hartcliffe or The Park Centre in Knowle West. No classrooms lectures, this is a hands-on preparation for getting a job: building your CV, finding and applying for work, interview skills and understanding what to expect once you’re in a job. Complete this step and you’ll receive £150 in Love2Shop vouchers.
Step 3: Try real work
Your personal career coach helps match you to a work taster or placement based on your interests. We’ll sort a bus pass and help with anything you need to wear, so the practical stuff doesn’t get in the way. Complete this step and you’ll receive £100 in Love2Shop vouchers.
